The NHLPA Game Time is the Hockey Hall of Fame’s hub for interactivity where guests can challenge their hockey skills against life-size, animated versions of today's greatest NHL goalies and shooters. This model rink exhibit features two state-of-the-art games and an over-hanging scaled video scoreboard that presents live coverage of in-house action.
The Goodyear Shoot Out is a virtual experience that allows you to go one-on-one, using real pucks and a stick, against a life-sized, computer-simulated version of a legendary goaltender, featuring Carey Price, Frederik Andersen and Henrik Lundqvist. The attraction's three censor arrays process the trajectory and speed of your shot, prompting the goalie to instantly respond in an effort to make the save.
At the end of the game, you will see a total score based on the average velocity, reaction time and accuracy of your shots plus your full experience will be captured on video by the Hockey Hall of Fame’s GameCAM Video System for personal download and sharing.
In Shut Out, you will experience what it feels like to face the best shooters the NHL has to offer, in realistic life-size, live-action hockey challenges. Suit up and play goal against virtual superstars such as Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid and Alexander Ovechkin, who fire weighted sponge pucks at speeds up to 70 mph through a number of openings in an 8-by-10-foot video screen.
The Hockey Hall of Fame’s GameCAM Video System will video each experience for you to download and share.
The TSN/RDS Broadcast Zone is an area dedicated to providing an immersive, entertaining and educational first-hand look at hockey broadcasting. Using state-of-the-art technology, guests can explore and experience the broadcast world from a variety of angles, both on and off camera.
This scaled replica of TSN's SportsCentre Studio set offers guests an opportunity to "audition" and test their sports anchor skills in front of a camera/teleprompter. All performances in the TSN SportsCentre Studio are recorded via the Hall of Fame’s GameCAM Video System which allows participants to download and share their clip online.
Within the TSN/RDS Broadcast Pods, choose from a menu of classic hockey game moments – from NHL to international women’s action - and then put yourself behind the microphone and call the play. The Hockey Hall of Fame GameCAM Video System will record every broadcast so you can immediately download and share your experience via social media.
Guests are invited to view and create their own highlight package in the TSN Top 10 Challenge and then see how their rankings match up with those selected by the TSN professionals.
Take to the virtual ice via the Video Game Kiosks zone. Here you'll find the latest in a new generation of hockey video games, where the sights, sounds and feel of the fastest team sport on the planet come to life.
Alongside both sides of the NHLPA Game Time are stands that provide seating for up to 60 fans. It is here that visitors can test their hockey knowledge through Slapshot Trivia. Eight kiosks cycle through a database of over 10,000 hockey questions and photographs, challenging your skills to rank players accordingly, your ability to identify players, and of course your reaction time.
